Well I decided to write something about some yanderes, well I'm kind of new to this, so sorry for any mistakes, well in the Brazilian yandere community, we usually write headcanons of some characters, as well as realizing that there were no headcanons for some characters here on Tumblr, I decided to write a little about them.

Yandere reacting to reader who cosplays

Monika

- Well, you have only been dating a short time, and she knew that you loved to watch anime, series and Doramas, read some manga and light novels or play some video games, and since you know her well, you call her to watch something that involves romance;

- But something caught you off guard, when you simply showed up at the meeting with the cosplay of a romance anime you like to watch with your girlfriend;

- You did it because it might please your beautiful girlfriend;

- you cosplayed Kaguya Shinomiya from Kaguya Sama wa kokurasetai;

- Well you just wanted to surprise her, and Monika rather liked that, and with that she pours sweet kisses all over your face, and you turn into a blushing mess;

- You get a little clumsy around your girlfriend, so you don't get into the role of Kaguya too much;

- Monika loves how Kaguya Sama's school uniform dress looks perfect on you;

- Well you have been doing character cosplays for quite a while now, so it would be nice if your girlfriend knew about it;

- Well Monika realized at first that this was not the first cosplay, as it was very well done;

- When you stopped being embarrassed by the situation, you decided to act like the character you had cosplayed;

- Monika laughed a lot at your performances, because you were able to get perfectly into the role of the character;

- She loved the work you did just for her, you had so much love and dedication to it, she feels sweet, she will one day repay that;

Ayano Aishi

- She was waiting for you outside your room, but out of nowhere she feels caught, she feels your hands on her thighs and back, you had picked her up;

- This yandere turned extremely red when you did this, and when she looked at you, you were in costume;

- You were cosplaying Yuji Itadori from Jujutsu kaisen;

- The two of you kind of decided to hang out together at the comic con, to tell you the truth, you were the one who urged her to go to the event;

- At the event, you were holding hands the whole time;

- Ayano wasn't in cosplay, since she didn't see much point in it, but so that people wouldn't look down on her for not wearing something from pop culture, you lent her your Attack on Titan freedom wings sweatshirt;

- Ayano was extremely happy and flushed with this gesture, it will be a little difficult for her to return the sweatshirt to you, as she will place it on her altar with other of her belongings;

- At the event, many people came up to you to compliment the cosplay, but until one person came up, making a reference to the anime:

" What is your type of woman"

Ayano grimaced at that, why ask such a personal and stupid question?

She hadn't understood the reference, so you got into character.

"My kind of woman? My kind of woman is tall and big-butt, just like my girlfriend Ayano Aishi! He then points to the dark-haired girl.

Congratulations you have made this yandere extremely clueless.

Alan Orion

- Alan had arranged for you to go out into the forest, since he had a surprise for you;

- But you had an appointment, so you told him you were going to be a little late, of course he was annoyed by this, what was more important than him?!;

- Well you had to go to an anime event that was going to be held at the gym, a lot of people who like pop culture went there, so obviously to show your work, so you went in cosplay;

- The cosplayer you did was Rem from Re: Zero kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu;

- After the event, you were in a hurry to go see your boyfriend, because you knew he had been upset with you for changing the appointment time;

- By this time you hadn't even taken off the accessories you were wearing to make the cosplay, so you go straight into the forest to see that man;

- When you arrived, Alan was sitting with his back to you, and as soon as you approached him, your boyfriend's heterochromatic eyes sparkled with admiration; he thought you were late just to get ready like that just for him;

- Well, his intention when he called you was to fuck you hard in the forest, to get you addicted to his cock, but seeing you dressed like that made him hard right away;

- You kind of won't feel your legs for a week anymore;

Sunny day Jack

- Jack was wondering why you were taking so long in the room;

- He was intrigued in what you were doing, as this ghost was curious of what your Sunshine was doing, so he opened the door to your room;

- When he was going to ask how you were, he looked at you, you were wearing strange clothes, wearing a pink wig and contact lenses of the same color, as well as a well-made makeup over your face, making you look very effeminate;

- You jumped when he saw you cosplaying Astolfo from Fate: Apocrypha;

- Well, you decided to step into the role of the character, just to tease Jack for breaking into your room;

"Oh! So you are my master?! Then I will introduce myself! For it is very important to speak my real name! So, my name is Astolfo! One of the twelve paladins of Charles Magno! It's a pleasure" you played the role of getting all excited, quickly approaching the blue-haired man.

" What about yours?" You had a huge smile on your face, you had really gotten into character, Jack was impressed, even though he didn't understand the reference he quite liked it, especially the master part.

- Jack picks you up and puts you on the bed, he would give you lots of love, because as you said, he was your master;

Some Reasons Why Trafalgar Law is a Comfort Character of Mine!!

Aka me rambling about Law 🥳🥳

Some context

Trafalgar Law is a character that I’ve known about since I was a kid. A little over 10 years to be exact. I’d seen cosplays of him in anime conventions, his iconic polar white cap in anime shops, and his Jolly Roger everywhere.

Thanks to Aokkun’s artwork, I’ve also kinda known about Corazon, too!!

 I never saw too many photos of him nor understood his power or character too well. I just knew that he was kinda popular and he was from One Piece.

I didn’t really start really liking him until I started getting more One Piece YT shorts. 

I eventually did a One Piece Boyfriends Quiz for fun to see who I’d get. Law happened to be tied for third or fourth place. I did some more quizzes later on, and he always ended up consistently near the top (like top 3-4). So, I watched some videos on Law, and ended up seeing the Kid and Law vs. Big mom fight scene. Idr if it was that particular video, but I remember closing it thinking like woah, he’s cool. 

After spending time researching him, spending time watching the anime, and indulging in his character and a lot of fanworks, I realized just how much this character means to me.

So, here are some reasons that I really like him!!

One thing that I really like about him is his style and appearance. It’s alot like how I like to dress and the clothes he wears, his hair color, skin color, color palette just really make me happy. 

I like that he’s a doctor, since medicine is something that I want to be involved with in the future. I’ve been having alot of burnout lately since October, and felt like I’ve been losing the motivation for what I want to pursue. But, being able to relate to being young and already had some experience with medicine and being surrounded by supportive adults is cool (I’m referring to the novel and his family, not Doffy lol). 

I like his design, VA’s, and attacks, too!! He’s just super cool in general. He’s also cute!!🤍🌸

I like how nerdy he is and honestly just all of the fun facts about him. How he’s a Libra like me, his flower (Queen of the Night), his spirit animal(s), where he’s from, his hobbies (not so much the coin collection deal, my sister collects coins!! Idk if she still does it tho).

I just really like him as a character. His black cat personality is a dynamic that I like working with alot. Him also being a doctor, I have alot of medical issues that I could see him helping me with and recognizing early on. He’d be someone who would look out for me. I feel like we’d butt heads in the beginning, but he’d always try to be patient. 

This reason is also a bit random, but he reminds me of my mom alot. 

My mom is someone who was incredibly intelligent at a young age. She had a really high IQ and was even suggested to do something with Harvard. 

I’m not one to tell her story, but to sum it up, the way her and Law handled life are very similar. The way Law treats Luffy is also very cute to me. It’s funny seeing the high IQ black cat character x ADHD ball of sunshine together. 

 So, being able to understand his character and his motives was really easy. He’s a complicated character, but reading the novel helped me recognize that I’m understanding him well. 

He’s really fun to draw lol!! There’s not much else to say but yeah!! I like drawing him a lot.

He also just makes me feel confident. Being genderfluid, he really helps me express my masculine side. I love how he still likes cute things and sweet things.

He also has some weird habits that I relate to, one of them being the bread thing LOL. I always thought it was alittle weird, but I realized that I’m pretty picky about bread, too. 

I really like making HC’s for him and relating them to the people I know who remind me alot of Law. 

One thing that I don’t think about a lot are the people in our lives who did alot of damage to us. I don’t talk about it too often, but I can kinda relate to Law’s story with Doffy and Corazon. Like Law, I met someone (who really likes flamingos too lol) at a low point, and it really only became worse, until another individual showed up and helped us out. They showed us the good in life and loved us. That person happens to be my boyfriend!! 

It wasn’t an easy road, but, like Law, I started seeing the good in life, despite all of the bad luck I have. 

Writing No Surprises has really helped me indulge in him as a character and enjoy writing. He makes me really happy and will definitely hold a dear place in my heart. 

Anyways, I just wanted to ramble about it. I can’t wait to keep working on No Surprises!! I’m still editing and changing bits and pieces as I go along, but the ending and key details will be the same. 🌸🌸🌸

Regardless, I'm still finding more and more reasons to like him everyday, and it makes me super happy!! 🤍✨

Nameless Ghouls doing Cosplay

Piramid Head

I feel like he became obsessed with the game and plays it every year religiously. He doesn't understand why now everyone wanted to be sexy, he wanted to be scary. Spoilers! A tall man, with a mask and no shirt, was not scary, many girls approached him to ask for photos and try to get his phone number. This guy is shy, so all the attention overwhelmed him a little, but he was happy that people liked his cosplay and he even signed some fanarts. But that hand on his butt definitely made him blush, girls are a little more daring than he expected.

Phantom

Eric Draven

When he saw the movie with Sodo he simply loved it and stole Brandon Lee's personality for months, he stole some makeup from Copia to be able to give it the final touch although he had to ask for some help from Cirrus to avoid making a mess in the bathroom and not ruin the makeup. He left everything for last and 2 days before the convention was stealing part of the suit from each ghoul's closet. He even recorded some videos simulating part of the movie and almost fell from the third floor of the ministry while doing the window scene.

Rain

Ice King

He is much calmer, the ice king seemed like a good costume, he liked the series and when he found out that there was an "Ice Princess Ball" he simply showed off by taking his forbidden steps, surprising everyone, even his classmates. Putting on the blue paint was difficult and he didn't want to damage the suit or white shirt. He made the crown by hand and asked Copia for some jewelry in exchange for ensuring that Phantom wouldn't destroy his makeup. Many fans asked him to record scenes of the character and days later he blushed when he saw millions of people praising him on the internet.

Sodo

Lestat

He's not lying, he's read the book and knows the background to the scene where Lestat turns Louis. He admires the vampire's ambition for power but mostly he does it because he can flirt or bother anyone he wants and everyone will assume that he is his character. It bothers him a little when people point out that Lestat is taller, but seeing the girls smile at him and shyly cover their faces, he just loves that they adore him. What stands out most about his cosplay is his hair, he spent hours in the bathroom to get the desired blonde, and even more time to leave it soft and silky with the smell of macadamia and honey, let's not talk about how the ghouls mocked him when he saw him come out of the shower in her bathrobe and with curlers to curl her hair. "Envious" he thought. Lestat is simply himself in another universe. A diva.

Swiss

König

Swiss is not as tall as König but that doesn't matter when you have the attitude, you are in VERY good shape and you know how to move your hips well. Damm! How can he look intimidating and sexy at the same time? He simply set the bar very high for the rest of the character's cosplayers. Although he seems serious, behind the mask he is really laughing at how nervous people were with him, he has a great time seeing everyone's open mouths as he passes by and in the contest for the best cosplay he simply sweeps away, he uses his flirtatious voice to talk to them everyone and even hoisted a couple of small children onto his shoulders for photos.

Storm

She's a big fan of superheroes, especially girls who can kick anyone's ass and look cool at the same time. She also gives him the luxury of showing off her magic in the form of "special effects" to entertain some children. It amuses him to see her amazed face as she makes little clouds around her. She loves how her cape looks when she walks and she pretends to be in a scene from the movie with the rest of the ghoulettes, even "fighting" with Mountain like a real X-Men.

Aurora

Emily

She throws the popcorn on the floor every time he watches the movie when he sees how Viktor doesn't stay with Emily (it's not something the author does at all lmao). She looked at a wedding dress just like Emily's in the window of a second-hand store and the squeal of excitement was heard all the way to China. She ran to the Ministry and took out all of Cirrus's painting materials like an excited little girl, she made the ribs with real ribs that she took from an old corpse from the mass grave that was in the basement of the Ministry. She put a lot of effort into every detail and cried like she was a real bride when she saw the final result. She walked through the hallways singing until she fed up the Sisters Of Sin. But the princess is happy.

Cirrus

Mad Hatter

Cirrus didn't know anything about this character until he heard Melanie Martínez's song and did a little research and went crazy. She has seen every movie about Alice in Wonderland (with all its variants and from other countries) and has read every book until she has a large collection, but if Sebastián Stan's performance made her fall in love, Johnny Deep's moved her heart. The truth is she bought everything from a Japanese dressmaker and she was glued to the window every day when she saw a mail truck every time she saw it. She went to conventions for several days in a row just to show off her cosplay and rewatched all the movies to get more into character.

AVCon Day 1 2023 Report

I had the opportunity to go to AVCon this year, a convention in Adelaide that made its return this year! It was my first ever anime convention, and it was a whole load of fun!

I went with Pie @piedivide, a good friend of mine! He cosplayed 9S, you’ll see him throughout the report hehe ^^

Since I was going to a convention, I thought I should cosplay! When else would I have the chance to after all?

There were so many characters I wanted to cosplay, but at the end I chose…..

Bocchi-Chan from Bocchi The Rock!

Here is my beautiful pose I did because I couldn’t think of any other pose lol

Her wig was an absolute nightmare though, it was always so tangled even when I brushed it out, I’m definitely going for a character with shorter hair next time.

But regardless, let’s actually get into it!

Pre-Con

I got my butt up at 6am in order to get ready, since I wanted to get to the convention around 10am (spoiler alert I did not manage to get there by 10am).

I tied my hair back here because I was worried about sitting on the wig and pulling it off, but honestly I probably didn’t need to lol

Since the convention is in the city, I had to catch the train.

In full cosplay.

It didn’t help I forgot the timetables change on the weekends so I had to wait like 30 minutes at the station for the train to come with my mum lol

People were staring which was understandable, I was Bocchi after all with her bright pink hair and colourful costume lol

Lucky for me, there was a Yuyuka cosplayer and a few others also in cosplay so I felt less embarrassed.

The Yuyuka cosplayer actually sat behind me on the train!

Once I got to the station, I went straight to the bathroom to brush out my wig because it was a hot mess.

Still was a hot mess here actually lol

Con Time!

I met with Pie after my attempts of fixing the wig and we headed to the convention! So we got there like after 11am!

There was a okay line and we waited, and of course me being me, instantly started freaking out about all the cosplayers and pointing out who was who lol

Like right when we got to the line, I saw a Kagamine Rin cosplayer and I freaked out lol

There was a very pretty Mona too and I freaked out again lol

I did a lot of freaking out okay. That’s just how I am. You can’t expect me to stay calm at an anime convention! That’s like…impossible.

We were holding our phones with the QR code for our tickets and it was hard to believe we were here.

Pie and I sort of spontaneously decided to go like 8 months ago and I never thought the day would finally come. As we got closer and closer, it became more and more real.

Once we got in, we got our passes and we headed straight into the food hall (only because we had no idea where was what and we couldn’t be bothered getting out the map so it was a fun adventure lol).

I'm so glad we got passes! I thought we would get the paper tag but no! Real passes! Felt so cool!

Continuing straight, we arrived into the Video Games Hall, which had a giant stage and a lot of laptops! And right on the side was….handhelds?!

Whole bunch of games and consoles for sale, ranging from the N64 to the Wii! PlayStation 1! 3DS! DS! I was surprised, I didn’t think that I’d see any Wii games at the convention.

My hard drive I use with my Wii actually stopped working so I’ve been buying physicals of the games I really like ;;

And lo and behold, they had Mario Kart Wii. The one game I’ve been looking for since like….2021? Now I can play CTGP and mods!!

Instantly bought it along with Wii Sports Resort because I love Wii Sports Resort. Been wanting to play it.

And it was right there and I couldn’t resist okay

Already managed to spend money and I just got there lmao

It is what it is.

Anyway, we continued through the hall, admiring all the games. It was just all so cool! I saw Street Fighter 6 and went :O

There was also a giant Game and Watch System!

I was mostly in awe the whole time. I also continued my freaking out lol

Then we exited to the Artist Alley. The holy grail of art. There were over 90 artists there.

Hoo boy I dropped money here lmao

We beelined to Kamaniki’s booth (I freaked when I saw their name on the map lol), but also taking the time to walk and see all the art! Everyone is so talented, it’s incredible!

We found Kamaniki’s booth and we each bought two prints. I got Pyra and a Bocchi the Rock one!

Pie and I decided that we had to buy a print with our respective characters on it, and we did! Pie got a Nier Automata one that had 9S on it.

We then continued our trek, and then I bought more prints because I couldn't resist lol

We then went to the Exhibition Hall which was full of anime merch! There were stalls everywhere.

We saw Callie and Marie plushies and guess what we did….

We bought them instantly lol

I got Callie and Pie got Marie!

Then we walked around some more and oh my god they had Hololive gacha. Volume 4 and 5. I made this screech and Pie laughed his head off lmao

I love Hololive okay

I thought we needed coins for it (which I did not have) but we had to buy tokens (which I could with the power of my card). I bought two rolls and did each Hololive gacha!

I tried to predict who I would get but I was very wrong haha, but I didn’t mind who I got. I like everyone in Hololive!

I got Lui and Marine! Love them so much.

Pie did a Spy X Family one and a Hololive one too. He actually nearly did the wrong gacha until I yelled at him not to lol (you’re welcome Pie lol).

I saw a stall that was operated by my Uni (they’re a sponsor) and it made me think about the fact I had Uni the next week ;;

Then we walked around some more! It was so cool seeing so much merch in one place! Had to resist buying stuff, I already spent quite a bit at this point aha

After we decided to go get some food because we were hungry.

We wanted to try Takoyaki but they ran out, all they had left was Karaage Chicken. It was really good!

We had to wait for like…20 minutes for it which was fun. I was 47th and they only announced like...30…..

Someone actually came up to me asking for a photo during that time and I was really happy!

Never thought I’d get asked for any photos honestly. It made me so happy! Pie got asked for photos too, it was so cool!

Actually someone came up to Pie and said “Hey I really like your 2B costume!” which was really hilarious lmao

Of course Pie was kind and stuff and said thank you but still lol

And Pie also asked for photos as well!

I had the bright idea to torture myself by using chopsticks. I know how to use them, but I’m absolutely crap at using them.

I also had a fork so I could give up at any time. Like halfway through, I decided to just use my fork. I reached out to grab it, thinking I would be saving myself all the struggle.

But tragedy struck.

I DROPPED THE FORK ON THE GROUND 😭

I was forced to use the chopsticks the whole time and Pie just watched me suffer

I’m a chopsticks failure……

After I finally finished, we went to get some photos together! For this occasion, I bought a tripod! It came in handy!

We took a lot of photos!

Some of the ones I like (I would put them all but no space sadly, Tumblr limit ;;)

My eyes also decided to kill themselves half way through and I had to retreat to the bathroom. I looked like I was crying when I wasn’t ;;

My eyes like to do this thing where if something irritates it, it starts tearing up immediately. It’s very fun (T_T)

I think it was after this, I saw a Mizuki from Arknights cosplayer. Didn’t expect to see Mizuki here but I freaked out of course lol

I love Mizuki.

And I really wanted a photo. But I was too shy to ask.

Then we just walked around for the rest of the con pretty much, though all the halls. Bought some more prints and simply enjoyed our time!

When it was nearly the end of the con, we decided to buy each other one print that the other would like. We split off, and I went bounding down the left side of the Artist Alley.

I didn't even go that far when I saw the perfect print. It was a beautiful BOTW print with Link riding a horse. It screamed Pie so I bought it immediately.

The artist even offered another print for another $10 but I declined because we were only meant to get one print for each other.

So I sat and waited at the area we agreed to meet at since I already found the perfect print quicker than I anticipated.

More people asked me for photos actually to my surprise, there was this little kid who wanted a photo with me and it was so adorable. Made my heart warm hehe ( ◠‿◠ )

Like so! I heard "Bocchi" from behind me and I'm like "Huh??" “That’s me!”

I honestly wished I got more pictures with cosplayers, I was too shy to ask like anyone lol, next time I really want to ask people! Got to be more confident!

But I did admire them from afar! Staring a bit creepily but that’s definitely what Bocchi would do lol

There were these Genshin cosplayers that looked amazing, especially this Yaoyao and this Arlecchino and Columbina!!

And I saw Mew Ichigo too!! Apparently they made their cosplay themselves which is sick.

I didn’t take that many pictures of the convention itself, since I was mostly just experiencing everything, taking it all in. Next time I want to take more!

And make a vlog too!

Definitely want to go to another convention again! And spend way too much money (I refuse to look at my bank account, I don't want to know how much I spent lol).

Kiru's Advent Calendar, Day 15✨

Day 7, 11 and 13 were all about the Great Rainbow Bake Off, and this part continues the series! Today features Bandit's, uh, preparations. (Rating G, fluff?, ~1k words)

During the span of no more than five minutes, Blitz witnesses the following sights:

Kapkan walking by while drawing invisible lines in the air, visibly distressed and with his tongue between his teeth in concentration.

Dokkaebi, looking ready to strangle Lesion, yelling at him loud enough it reverberates off the walls: “Sugar is sugar! There is no wrong kind!”

Sledge sitting in a corner with his head in his hands, muttering feverishly: “What do people like? What do they like??”

“I wonder if Manu regrets suggesting the contest already”, Blitz turns to his best friend who doesn’t seem at all concerned with the competition, instead opting to doze in the lounge as usual.

“Don’t think so”, Bandit replies with a yawn, keeping his eyes closed. “Have you noticed how many more people are able to try her cookies these days? It’s raining compliments for her, instead of these gluttons devouring everything she produces in seconds.”

Blitz frowns. “You realise you’re usually one of those gluttons?”

“Eh. I’m on my redemption arc right now.”

Cryptic answer, but alright. Something else occurs to him: “Aren’t you supposed to be preparing as well? I mean, I’m glad you’re not possessed like the others, but -”

In the distance, Dokkaebi screams: “It’s the same fucking thing!”

Yeah. Blitz doesn’t even want to imagine his teammate going to similar lengths to win – Bandit’s competitive streak is a mean thing once it gets out, surfacing not just in an obsessive way but also bringing out the absolute worst in him regarding cheating. He knows he doesn’t need it and even then he tries to find loopholes everywhere, unfairly disadvantages his rivals, attempts to mess with them where he can. Blitz much prefers him napping on the sofa to burning bridges.

“There’s still time”, is Bandit’s laconic reply.

“Isn’t it in two days?” Silence. Blitz’ frown deepens. “Have you ever baked anything in your life?”

“Of course. I’ve been baked many times.”

Blitz resists rolling his eyes, but only barely. “Dom.”

“I mean, I’ve baked pizzas, croissants, pies…”

“Dom. Anything not frozen.”

“I once put a tangerine in the oven because my girlfriend at the time said it’d make my flat smell less of man-who-lives-alone. Well, I forgot about it and let me tell you, burnt citrus is a lingering odour not easily removed.”

Yikes. He crinkles his nose in sympathetic disgust. “So… I’ll take that as a no. Are you going to wing it? Half-ass it? Manu doesn’t deserve a lukewarm attempt and you know that. Part of this exercise is about you lot understanding and appreciating how difficult it is to produce tasty biscuits all the time.”

“Oh, I understand. That’s why I’m not dumb enough to try.”

“You’re dumb enough to try anything”, someone else butts in out of the blue, flashing Blitz his wide, trademark grin. Ace has materialised out of nowhere, seemingly shrouded in Christmas cheer and glitter with how festive his clothes are, his sweater a hideous mix of tartan, polka dots and paisley. No, wait, this is actual glitter raining off him. Blitz vaguely recalls a brief panic spreading through Rainbow when Kali was overheard mentioning a bomb, but this explains it perfectly.

“Not dumb enough to try you”, Bandit shoots back and Blitz feels nausea rise in him at the way his best friend looks at Nighthaven’s golden boy. To everyone else, it might come across as contempt, but after about a decade, Blitz knows what utter devotion looks like on Bandit’s face. And, unfortunately, this is it. “What happened, did you put a unicorn through the shredder for one of your videos?”

“No, I decided to cosplay Tinkerbell today, seeing as some of you could do with a little more magic and joy in your life.”

“And just like Tinkerbell, you also wither and die whenever nobody pays attention to you.”

“I thought about cosplaying you, but I couldn’t fit seven dicks in my mouth.”

Bandit actually laughs at that. He must’ve lost his mind, Blitz really has no idea what he sees in the Norwegian influencer though it’s so painfully obvious he’s smitten with him. Odd that he wouldn’t do his best to impress him and prepare properly for the Bake Off.

“Your lunch is in the fridge”, Bandit informs the other man who visibly lights up at his words.

“You’re a godsend. By the way, I’m going to give you shit for years if you don’t show some effort for the Bake Off, remember that.”

And as Ace glitters away, Blitz can’t help but shout after him: “You realise he actually likes you, right?”

The only answer he gets is a disbelieving scoff and a dismissive as if. Curses. Blitz’ hope was that they finally start dating just so he doesn’t have to bear witness to their increasingly awkward courtship. Which seems to involve a whole lot of insults.

He turns to Bandit. “You buy him lunch now?”

“We buy each other lunch. My turn today.”

“I don’t know why he thinks even for a second that you don’t have the worst crush on him I’ve ever seen.”

Bandit shows his own grin now, decidedly more toothy and scarier than Ace’s. “And I don’t know why you think even for a second that I don’t have the perfect plan.”

Well. Blitz hopes that plan involves getting glitter out of all the clothes he owns.

It turns out Bandit’s plan involves turning up at his door that evening, carrying a bunch of ingredients, a variety of baking utensils, a laptop and a small dictionary for translating between Norwegian and English.

“Hi”, he greets Blitz with a smile. “My oven broke. Can I use your kitchen while I zoom Ace’s mum?”

And though Blitz didn’t know what he expected, it certainly wasn’t this.

Q: What was the process of designing Keyleth?

A: She used to be rounder in the face, you know it's her first adventure, she's a young woman- but this kind of design with the doe eyes can skew too young, so we made sure she was age appropriate, especially since she has a romance later on with Vax. She's cute as a button! And those skintight thigh high boots look damn good!

Q: Travis and Sam wrote 'Scanbo' together! What was that like?

A: Wanted to write for myself, we got everything out of our system even with some the musical bits (with Vedmire scatting) and then we went in and chopped it up and made it work.

Q: What got cut from 'Scanbo'?

Q: Arthur, you are one of the critter backers! What did you focus on when you came in?

A: Focused on Whitestone, and its design! But Matt said that some things we came up with were world breaking. And the design team had so much fun and we did world building separately and together for each section of Whitestone. (Travis: we struck gold with Arthur!) Q: What was it like seeing the NPCs backstories like the Briarwoods?

‘Attack On Titan XR Ride’ in Osaka’s USJ

As I mentioned in my previous post, I’ve been living in Japan for the better part of a year now, and one opportunity I absolutely did not want to pass up was to see the Attack On Titan XR Ride at Universal Studios Japan, Osaka, before it closed down in August. It’s been a few months, so my memory might not be perfect, but I’ll do my best to describe it to you.

The courtyard in front of the ride was decorated with a Colossus Titan head, banners for the different regiments, and statues of Eren, Mikasa, and Armin.

There was also a shop selling unique merchandise where I bought a very high-quality and cosy Survey Corps cape to wear in the gargantuan queue for the ride.

A 3D animation that looks like the A.O.T. video games plays outside the ride while you’re waiting. A pair of closed windows by the entrance is opened up by Armin (it’s really a screen, but you can’t tell that til he opens them, so it’s a nice surprise). He then gives you instructions for the ride with interruptions from Eren, Mikasa, and Levi (who flies in in 3DMG gear in a very extra manner). About halfway through Hange butts in and takes over Armin’s explanation. They all have their Japanese anime voices.

The setting is that you’re on a Survey Corps expedition in Wall Maria, around Season 1-2 era. Once you enter the building, you go inside a hexagonal room surrounded by screens like window slits, through which you can see a Wall Maria town. Armin is talking to you over the speakers, when suddenly you hear the THUMP THUMP THUMP of titan feet, and outside the windows their feet come into view! One crouches down and you can see its face (I think it was the Peering Titan, the one that ate Mina).

Armin tells us we’re getting out of here, and the screens depict our descent as Armin lowers us down an elevator, like the one in the Battle of Trost when they’re trapped at the supply depot. When we reach the bottom, Armin tells us we need to retreat to Wall Rose, and a guide in Survey Corps cosplay ushers us through a door.

Past this door is where the real queue begins. It took about an hour or so, but it was made more enjoyable than the outside wait by the atmosphere and pretense that you’re on your way to evacuate. Music from the anime plays over the speakers, and the ride safety information that plays on the screens is done in the same manner as the ‘Current Publicly Available Information’ slides from the anime, and is narrated by Hange.

Eventually you get to the rollercoaster proper, sit down and fit a VR helmet over your eyes. You see a POV experience of the video-game style animation, with you going through a tunnel seated in a horse-drawn cart. When the ride gets started, and you leave the tunnel, you see the Colossus Titan tearing up the town. The twists and turns of the rollercoaster are portrayed as your carriage running up and down the falling debris, and even getting caught in the hand of the Colossus!

Luckily, Mikasa saves you, accompanied by Eren and Armin, and she asks if you’re okay. Levi appears to beat back a sea of Pure Titans trying to grab at you, saying something cool - probably “get a move on” or something (there were no English subtitles on the actual ride).

Eventually, you get out of the collapsing town and plunge down to a grassy plain. Here, you see the Armoured Titan charging at you, but Eren turns into a Titan and keeps it occupied. At one point, Sasha dashes past you on a horse. She drops her potato and looks back to it, wailing mournfully.

You’re almost at Wall Rose now, but the Beast Titan is blocking your path, saying something in that wonderfully deep voice of his. Eren’s Titan returns to you and you ride up his arm. At his shoulder, you abandon your cart and start zipping around in 3DMG with your comrades, the rollercoaster getting very wild at this point. You see Hange swinging by laughing maniacally.  With your combined strength you’re able to attack and immobilise the Beast and swing past him into Wall Rose.

The entry into Wall Rose is very sudden and you’re on a cart again with Eren. You can see all the townsfolk cheering your arrival, and the other comrades who fought with you are lined up on a podium doing the Survey Corps salute. Eren compliments your efforts and the ride ends. And no, sadly, Historia was not present, nor Jean, Connie, and Erwin 🥲.

While I was getting off, I heard a little girl shout “Levi kakkoii!” (Levi’s so cool!). Dunno if someone younger than 10 know about SNK, but at least she had fun.

Outside the gate is a food stall with an SNK aesthetic (third picture). They sold food themed off the characters: I remember there being a Mikasa steamed bun.

I didn’t eat there, though, because I already planned to have lunch at the SNK restaurant opposite the ride (fourth row). Inside, there was music from the anime playing together with clips from the show on a TV screen, up to the latest season. The set meal options were the Eren Plate, the Levi Plate (with tea, of course), and, for kids, the Mikasa Plate. You could also get desserts themed after Mikasa, Armin, and Levi, and a cup for your drink with one of the Shiganshina or Veteran trio on it.

You can guess what I chose. This Japanese conversation occurred with the woman behind the counter:

Her: “An Eren Plate with an Eren Cup. You really like Eren, huh?”

Me: “Yes, I’m a Jaegerist.” (joking!)

As you can see in my photo, the Plate Meal has an aesthetic like the anime without being such simple grub as the Survey Corps often have to eat. It was expensive, but damn, it wasn’t just because it had a picture of Eren sticking it out. It was one of the most delicious meals I’ve ever had. Also, I got to keep the cup.

Between the ride and lunch, I wandered around the rest of USJ and went on the Spider-Man VR ride - surpisingly themed to the 90s cartoon, which was very nostalgic. Japanese J. Jonah Jameson is a treat, and a recording of Stan Lee even thanked us for going on the ride at the end. I also saw Harry Potter, Jaws, and Jurassic Park attractions. Sadly, the queue for the Mushroom Kingdom was too long.

While I was wandering about, staff members from attractions totally unrelated to SNK would notice my cloak, give me a Survey Corps salute, and thank me for my service. This was probably an instruction given to all the staff, but damn if it didn’t make me feel good. Although, if they really wanted to make me feel like I’m in the series, they would berate me as a waste of tax money.

It was a 10/10 experience, the closest one can get to feeling like they’re really in the society of the Walls. Sadly it is now lost to time, but I hope this post allowed you all to enjoy it vicariously.

Kakashi is amused. He usually doesn't like people dressing up like him, but with the amount of Kakashi's around it's surprisingly easy for him to just blend in and get by without notice. But for the most part people leave him alone, and that's important in such a crowded event.

Kakashi does not like crowds and he wants to get by with as little difficulty as possible.

Sakura is starting multiple fistfights that Kakashi has to drag her away from, because someone saw her 'costume' and decided to give her a lecture on how 'Sakura actually sucks and is a terrible character'. Naruto is having a competition with Sasuke (that Sasuke did not agree to) to see who has more people dressed up like them. He is horrified to realize that Sasuke is winning, but Kakashi is kicking both of their butts without even trying.

Gai goes up to every single Kakashi cosplayer and tells them how they could make their costume more belivable. down to the slouch. He is determined to give them the best chance they have in the costume contest, and the judges hate him for it because now they have a hundred really convincing Kakashi cosplayers and it's already difficult to choose a winner. When he see's the rare Gai cosplayer, he make's sure that they have the thumbs up/smile pose down perfect and that they have a Kakashi roleplayer with them. they come in pairs and he will not hear otherwise.

Lee is loving it. He keeps pointing out all the Lee and Njei roleplayers, and he's very distraught to find out that there's little to no Tenten cosplayers.

Tenten's too busy looking at all of the cool prop weapons to even care. She has a goal and that goal is to convince her sensei to let her bring home at least three prop weapons. maybe five.
